GMA-7 is preparing for their so-called epic-serye starring their Primetime star Marian Rivera. This is "Bai Amaya" which they dubbed as the first historical soap opera on TV!

"Bai" is an Islam word which means "Princess"! Therefore "Bai Amaya" simply means "Princess Amaya"! The story will revolve around Amaya!

According to Ms. Lilybeth Rasonable, the GMA-7′s Vice President for Drama, “The story dates back to the 1500s. We are coordinating with the historical department of the University of the Philippines to make sure that every detail on this show is accurate!”

Marian Rivera will play the character of "Bai Amaya" but her leading man for this said new soap was not yet confirmed! Her onscreen and real-life partner Dingdong Dantes will not anymore Marian's leading man since Dingdong is also doing her next TV series called "I Heart You Pare" opposite Regine Velasquez! Definitely, "Bai Amaya" will be Marian's second TV series after "Darna" wherein Dingdong Dantes is not her leading man!

Talking about Marian's leading man in this new soap, there were rumors that a Kapamilya hunk was reportedly auditioned for this teleserye! If they consider him, definitely he will immediately transferred to Kapuso! Who do you is this Kapamilya hunk actor?!

This new epic series is said to start on the first quarter of 2011. Do you think Marian's "Bai Amaya" will be pitted against Angel Locsin's phenomenal hit "Imortal" which is also another epic series?! Will there would be another battle between Angel and Marian in terms of Primetime TV series?! And if that's the case, who do you think will reign in this exciting battle?! C",)

Masyado ba siyang insecure sa size ng ‘junior’ niya o he just wants people to see that he’s well-endowed?

Whatdayathink?

WORKING FOR THE first time with Robin Padilla in Guns and Roses, Bea was initially hesistant to get into a conversation with the action star.

But “when he made me feel na okay na maging totoo ka, that’s when I felt na comfor-table na, na nandoon siya. That’s when I felt na okay na makipagbiruan.”

Mas magiging masaya ako kasi I know he’s a good person and alam ko na magiging responsableng boyfriend siya. Alam ko na hindi niya ako sasaktan. As of the moment iyon ang nakikita ko, ha?” sabi pa ng bida ng Guns and Roses.

The 26.2 % is also not impressive lalo kung babalikan ang track record ni Marian.

So, what does this mean? Palaos na si Ma-rian? Well, it can be argued na sa pilot episode kasi ng bagong show ni Marian ay wala ang aktres kaya siguro nagkaganoon.

Amaya Marian Rivera Pictures From The Lunch Break Blogger

Amaya is the first ever epic series (epicserye) in the country’s television history.  GMA-7’s most expensive epicserye was plotted in the year 1500s where Datu’s and Raha’s reign.  It was directed by a veteran director Mr.  Mac C. Alejandre who was also the man behind the TV Series – Marimar, Majika, Darna and etc. Amaya reflects the story of our natural heritage and life during the 1500s which almost has been forgotten today.  Portrayed by Marian Rivera, Amaya is a story of a girl, born as princess who will soon became a slave, because of her step mother and at the end will be destined to be the most powerful woman of her time.

Aside from Marian Rivera’s character Amaya, the story also involves her father in the story Raymond Bagatsing as “Datu Bugna” who fell in love with her mother who was a slave named “Dal’lang” which portrayed by a veteran actress and a congresswoman Hon. Lani Mercado. The veteran and very versatile actress Ms. Gina Alajar portrays “Dian Lamitan”, the first royal wife of “Datu Bugna”. Who later enslaved Amaya in the story. “Rajah Mangubat” was a fearless and cruel leader during that time, in which the character was rendered by Mr. Gardo Versoza. Glaiza de Castro also starred as the character “Binayaan” the youngest daughter of Datu Bugna and Dian Lamitan. Furthermore, Amaya also tells about the story of her romance between “Bagani” portrayed by Sid Lucero who’s the heir to Rajah Mangubat’s throne and  “Lumad” portrayed by Mikael Daez (a model-turned actor).  Who also fell in-love with Amaya which added spices to the story.

Last night May 27, 2011, I was one of the fortunate bloggers who watched the first pilot episode of Amaya which was held at Cinema 2 of  SM The Block in Quezon City. A lot of Marian fans came (I think that’s includes me…) and we were all very excited (who wouldn’t be) to view the exclusive screening of the much awaited Amaya with the country’s primetime queen Marian Rivera.

Being with the VIPs such as: Glaiza de Castro, Roxanne Barcelo, Rochelle Pangilinan, Mikael Daez, Buboy Villar, Ms. Lani Mercado, Ms. Gina Alajar, Mon Confiado, Ayen Munji-Laurel, AJ Dee, Raymund Bagatsing, and Ana Feleo gave me goose bumps all throughout the event. Aside from them, Director Mac C. Alejandre, and head writer Suzette Doctolero was also there supporting Marian Rivira’s teleserye Amaya in which will be on television starting on Monday, May 30 right after Captain Barbell.

After Luanne Dy (Unang Hirit’s  Showbiz and Lifestyle Anchor) introduced  the cast of Amaya, the crowd applauded when she signaled for the start of the special screening.  The karakoa – a multi million peso worth custom-made  boats opened the epicserye introducing Rajah Mangubat’s banwa or fleets.  The first episode defined the characters of Rajah Mangubat which tells how powerful and cruel he is. It also introduced the romantic affair of Datu Bugna and Dal’Lang. It also talks about the prophecy about a girl born with ‘kambal-ahas’ will soon dethrone Rajah Mangubat and his banwa (territory) to fall.
