In the movie, Sandara still portrays the role of a Korean girl but this time, as an exchange scholar from Korea. Hero Angeles also portrays the role of a poor student and met Sandara. Their cultural differences provided the twists in the story and the movie was praised by various movie critics especially the improvement in the acting skills of Sandara.
Sandara's next movie was "D' Lucky Ones" but this time she was paired with Joseph Bitangcol ans co-starred with Eugene Domingo and Pokwang. Her last movie in the Philippines before moving back to Korea was "Super Noypi", a fantasy film which was an official entry to the 3nd Metro Manila Film Festival, where she portrayed the character of Michie who had a magic that enables her to create and control fire and ice.
